The Christian denominations following both the Western and Eastern calendars in Damascus celebrated Palm Sunday today, commemorating the entry of Jesus Christ into the city of Jerusalem. On this occasion, masses and prayers were held, presided over by the Beatitudes Patriarchs and Bishops.
The Beatitudes Patriarchs and Bishops delivered sermons during the occasion, praying to God to protect Syria and its people, and to bring peace and love throughout the country.
The speeches stressed the importance of Syrians’ unity during this critical phase to stand by their country.
They pointed out that this solidarity is seen as crucial in strengthening security, stability, and reconstruction efforts, aiming to achieve the “new Syria” that all Syrians aspire to.
