Chinese Embassy in Damascus celebrates 72nd Anniversary of the National Day

Damascus, (ST) – The Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus celebrated yesterday the 72nd anniversary of its National Day, during a virtual ceremony via the Internet with the participation of Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Miqdad and Chinese Ambassador Feng Biao.

In his speech, Dr. Miqdad stressed the depth of the historical relations that unite the Syrian and Chinese peoples, which is reinforced by their commitment to one principles and common goals.

Dr. Miqdad indicated that the “Belt and Road initiative, which is concerned with development, is an implementation of China’s vision of the concept of “a human society sharing the future.”

 The Minister appreciated China’s stances towards just causes, particularly Palestinian cause, referring to china’s stances in support of Syria in the war against terrorism.

In turn, the Chinese Ambassador affirmed that the relation of his country with Syria has preserved its right and stable progress. 

He indicated that, the two friendly countries are within one team that seeks to establish a community of a common future for humanity

“China and Syria are committed to mutual support on issues related to the core interests and major concerns of the two peoples, the Chinese Ambassador added.

On October 1st ,China celebrates the 72nd anniversary of its independence and continues to push for the establishment of a new type of international relations on the basis of mutual respect and joint cooperation.
