Chinese diplomat: The repeated Turkish and Israeli attacks on Syrian territory are flagrant violation

China has renewed its demand to respect Syria’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, and not to interfere in its internal affairs.

China’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations Geng Shuang said during Wednesday’s Security Council session on Syria, as reported by Xinhua: “Syria is a sovereign country, and any military operations on its territory without the consent of the Syrian government under any pretext, is a violation of its sovereignty and territorial integrity.” He referred to the repeated Turkish and Israeli attacks on Syrian territory.

The Chinese diplomat called for an end to the illegal presence of foreign forces in Syria, and to lift the illegal unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria.
