Chinese Companies are Interested in Investment in Syria

Damascus, (ST) –  The Syrian Investment Agency (SIA) announced that the opportunities prepared by the SIA in coordination with the ministries and concerned bodies began to receive the attention of Chinese companies and will be presented at the investment projects exhibition in Beijing, which will be launched on Sunday.

In a statement to local press, the Director General of the SIA, Dr. Enas Amawi, said that seven new mechanisms have been put in place to facilitate the stimulation of investment projects and promote them within the framework of an integrated work program that coming days will witness this program.

 

The integrated work program will include the preparation of a series of procedural and legal facilities and incentives for each opportunity and intensified promotion within sectors and targeted markets to draw an image that reflects the feasibility of investments in Syria in addition to following up these opportunities and facilitating the licensing procedures to improve the ease of doing business index.

 

The SIA conducted an opinion poll aimed at the business sector in order to obtain accurate information about the factors influencing investment, the difficulties that may face investors and the information expected to be received to enhance and complete the database designed by the SIA to support investors.
