Chinese Ambassador: China and Syria are partners advancing hand in hand on the path of modernization and development

Damascus (ST) – The Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China in Damascus Shi Hongwei affirmed that Syria’s resumption of its participation in the meetings of the Arab League will contribute to strengthening the solidarity of Arab countries, accelerating the Arab world’s steps towards development and will bring more positive factors on the road to reconstruction in Syria.

Ambassador Hongwi welcomed Syria’s return to the Arab League, stressing that China and Syria have a deep traditional friendship, and they will be partners advancing hand in hand on the path of modernization and development.

He indicated China’s willingness to work with Syria and other countries of the world to promote modernization and create a better tomorrow for the world.

In a related context, Ambassador Hongwi stated that the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China held last October outlined a plan for China’s future development, and proposed promoting the great renewal of the Chinese nation in a comprehensive manner through modernization in the manner of the Chinese style.

He referred to “Lanting Forum” on Chinese Modernization and the World”, held in Shanghai and during which the Chinese president stressed that the achievement of modernization has been the relentless pursuit of the Chinese people since modern times, and it is also the joint pursuit of peoples from all over the world to provide new opportunities for global development, and to promote the building of a shared community for mankind.
