China: Washington’s politicization of the issue of the origin of Corona is no different from other lies (Iraq possesses weapons of mass destruction)

On June 7th, the Chinese Embassy in the United States confirmed that Washington’s deliberate politicization of the issue of the origin of the Corona virus is not different from previous lies about Iraq’s possession of weapons of mass destruction.

“The origins of Covid-19 is a scientific issue and should be studied jointly by scientists around the world rather than politicized, and any conclusion should be drawn in line with the World Health Organization’s standards,” said Liu Bingyu, a spokesman for the Chinese Embassy in the United States.

Liu added that the campaign to politicize the study of the origins of the virus and attempts to discredit China are no different from the lies circulated about Iraq’s possession of weapons of mass destruction.

On June 4th, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin stressed that US attempts to politicize the study of the origin of the Corona virus seriously undermine international cooperation and create difficulties and obstacles to combating the virus and saving lives around the world.
