China: Syria’s return to the Arab League is in line with the aspirations of peoples of the region

Beijing-(ST)- Chinese Foreign Ministry has affirmed that Syria’s return to the Arab League goes in line with the aspirations of the peoples of the Arab region, while Washington has called for respecting the will of the peoples of the Arab region and for not interfering in their affairs.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wen as saying on Wednesday: It is necessary for Washington to stop attempts to undermine the process of dialogue and reconciliation of the countries of the region, as well as stop trying to divide it by creating contradictions, according to Chinese media.

Wang added that the American side should respect the will of the peoples of the Middle East, and stop practicing coercive diplomacy. Wang pointed out that the peoples of the region in particular should decide the affairs of this region independently.

Wang said that Syria’s return to the League of Arab States is in line with the aspirations of the people of the Arab world, and will help the Arab countries to strengthen their unity, as well as contributes to the promotion of peace and stability in the Arab region.
