China stresses the necessity of full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria

Beijing (ST): China has reiterated the necessity of full respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Syria.  Xinhua quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin as telling reporters: “We call on all concerned parties to respect Syria’s sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity, and to avoid adding new complications to the situation.” Wang’s remarks came after the US attack on the Syrian-Iraqi border area.

Earlier, the spokesman for the US “Pentagon” John Kirby had admitted in a statement that his country’s military forces at the directives of US President Joe Biden” launched the attack on the Syrian-Iraqi border area.

The Russian Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the US attack, asserting that it was an “unacceptable violation of international law.”
