China reiterates the necessity of achieving a complete ceasefire in Gaza Strip

New York, ST) – China has reiterated the necessity of achieving a permanent pause in Gaza Strip and reaching a complete ceasefire.

Xinhua quoted Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi as saying yesterday during his meeting with United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres at the United Nations headquarters in New York: “China’s position is clear. We reiterate the necessity of reaching a complete ceasefire to avoid further humanitarian disasters.

Wang also stressed the need to ensure unhindered access of humanitarian supplies to Gaza.

China had previously said that it welcomes all efforts that help achieve permanent ceasefire in Gaza Strip and stop the Israeli aggression against it.
