China records 98 deaths and 1,886 new confirmed infections with Coronavirus
The Chinese National Health Commission announced today that it has received reports of 1,886 confirmed cases of coronavirus and 98 new deaths from 31 provinces-level areas on Monday.
The deaths include 93 ones in Hubei Province, 3 cases in KHenan and one in other provinces, Xinhua quoted the commission as saying in a statement, noting that 1,432 new suspected cases were recorded. About 1701 people were discharged from hospital upon their recovery on Monday.
It added that the total number of confirmed cases has reached 72,236 by the end of Monday, while 1,868 people had died of the disease.
The Commission noted that by the end of Monday, 60 confirmed cases had been registered, including one death in Hong Kong, 10 confirmed cases in the Macao and 22 cases in Taiwan, including one death.
