China provides emergency humanitarian aid to Palestine

Beijing (ST): A spokesman for the China International Development Cooperation Agency said today that China will provide emergency humanitarian aid to the Palestinian government as soon as possible.

Chinese Xinhua news agency quoted spokesman Tian Lin as saying that the Chinese government has launched a humanitarian aid response mechanism in order to help the Palestinian government and people to deal with the emergency humanitarian crisis and to show the international humanitarian spirit.

Tian added that the aid will be provided according to the urgent needs of the Palestinian people, with the aim of treating the wounded and resettling the homeless.

China called on the United States last Tuesday to assume due responsibility for the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Israeli occupation launched massive, barbaric aggression on the besieged Gaza Strip that lasted for eleven days and led to the rise of 242 martyrs, including 66 children, in addition to the injury of more than 1900 injuries, including 560 children, and massive damage to Palestinian property, homes and infrastructure, in addition to its attacks in occupied Jerusalem and the rest of the West Bank cities and towns and occupied Palestinian territories in 1948.
