China opposes Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s sovereignty

China said on Tuesday that it rejects Israeli attacks on Lebanon’s sovereignty, expressing its deep concern about the escalation in the region.

“China is deeply concerned about the current situation between Lebanon and Israel, and is very worry about the further escalation of regional tensions resulting from related military actions.” Chinese Foreign Ministry said in a statement, according to the Syrian Arab News Agency.

It added that Beijing “opposes attacks on Lebanon’s sovereignty, security, and territorial integrity and rejects any actions that exacerbate conflicts and lead to further escalation in the regional situation.”
