China calls for immediate lifting of unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria

New York (ST): Deputy Chinese Permanent representative at the UN  Ambassador Geng Shuang renewed  the stand of his country which calls for the immediate lifting of the unilateral coercive measures imposed on Syria.

He added that China urges the concerned states including the US to lift the unilateral measures.

Shuang stressed the necessity of eliminating terrorism in Syria referring to the recurrent attacks carried out by terrorist organizations in Idleb.

He also affirmed his country’s commitment to the political solution of the crisis in Syria through dialogue, respecting its sovereignty and non-interference in its internal affairs.

Concluding his speech, the Chinese diplomat called for offering help to Syria to reconstruct its infrastructure and confront Covid 19 pandemic, and improve the economic situation all over the country.
