China calls for an end to the Israeli occupation invasion of Rafah

Beijing, (ST) – China called on the Israeli occupation authorities to stop the invasion of the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip and to respond to the demands of the international community in this regard.

Wafa News Agency quoted Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian as saying today: China calls on “Israel” to respond to the demands of the international community, stop attacking Rafah, and do everything in its power to avoid a more serious humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza Strip.

In turn,  the European Union foreign and security policy official Josep Borrell said: There is no safe place in the Gaza Strip and we are on the verge of a major humanitarian crisis. He indicated that “Israel” continues the war despite the European Union and Washington’s call not to invade Rafah.

Borrell called on the European Union and the international community to take action to prevent the ground invasion of Rafah.
