China and the EU affirm their adherence to their comprehensive strategic partnership
Bali – Indonesia (ST): Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi stressed that his country and the European Union are two major powers in the multipolar world and should adhere to the basic thrust of their comprehensive strategic partnership.
“China and the EU should adhere to mutually beneficial and win-win cooperation, support true multilateralism and oppose any actions that promote disengagement and violate the law of economics.”
He stressed that China is willing to work with the EU side to uphold the international system backed by the United Nations and the basic norms governing international relations based on the principles of international law.
