Children’s works color the corridors of the National Museum in Lattakia at the conclusion of the Forum titled: “Joy of the Nation in the Eyes of Children”

Sixty paintings of twenty boys and girls have been hanging over the corridors of the National Museum of Lattakia together with its garden for three consecutive days in the context of the forum that has been launched by the branch of the Union of Fine Artists in cooperation with Lattakia Governorate and the Directorate of Culture under the title “The joy of the homeland through the eyes of children.”
The children painted a green homeland with colorful cities and children playing under a sky decorated with the Syrian flag, for which the children have assigned a place in most of their works, as the sun sets in the sea of their city, side by side with colorful stories that their papers cannot accommodate.

The forum launched by the General Union of Fine Artists in many provinces is the first of its kind for children under 12 years old and comes under the supervision of a group of plastic artists who helped stimulate the imagination of children through Interactive activities, which gives the children some knowledge about the techniques on how to deal with paper and colors.

The forum has included an exhibition of children’s drawings following the harsh years of war which call for a permanent presence of activities and forums that help the children unload the negative impact of war and contribute to the development of their personalities.
The children participating in the forum have been keen on informing the visitors of the exhibition about their works and providing the visitors with explanations and clarifications about them. The majority of the paintings reveal a beautiful green nature and sunset in the sea reflecting the beauty of the Syrian seaside in the homeland, Syria.
