Chief of General Staff visits army units in Aleppo and Kwairis Airport

Aleppo – Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Chief of General Staff of the Army and Armed Forces Gen. Ali Abdullah Ayoub visited army units operating in Aleppo and Kwairis Military Airport.

Ayoub met the officers of the airport and the commanders of the units that broke the blockade on it, who briefed him on the nature of the operations conducted by the defenders of the airports and the forces that broke through the defenses of ISIS, SANA reported.

 The Chief of General Staff said that breaking the blockade on Kwairis Airport is an achievement that bears within it many lessons and indications, and shows the strength and determination of the Syrian Arab Army and that it’s the only force capable of eliminate terrorists in Syria and restoring security and stability to it.

Ayoub also inspected army units operating southwest of Aleppo, where he was briefed by the field commanders on the nature of the operations in that area and the achievements being made in the fight against terrorism.
