Chicken Prices Will Go Down

The Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade in coordination with Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform has stopped to export chicken and eggs produced by both public and private sector bodies till the end of this year.

This decision aims to make chicken more available at local markets after this product witnessed remarkable increase of prices and some chicken farms became out of service, said Abd alSalam Ali Deputy Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade.

In this respect, the Ministry of Economy is going to issue a decision to import 25000 tons of frozen chickens to be on sale at the governmental consumption establishment at reasonable prices, the deputy minister added.
