Bratislava (ST): Former Slovak Prime Minister Jan Charnogorsky asserted that the West had suffered a great defeat in Syria and therefore imposed unilateral coercive measures on it.
In a speech before the International Peace Forum held in Bratislava yesterday, Charnogorsky pointed out that these measures contributed to the displacement of people from their homes and homeland due to the hardships and suffering they caused.
He pointed out that Russia is legally present in Syria at the invitation of its government and has actively contributed to the process of combating terrorism.
Charnogorsky had recently confirmed that it was Syria, with its government and army, that defeated the terrorist organization (ISIS), calling on the West to lift the unilateral coercive measures imposed on it.
