Charity market exhibition for persons with disabilities to be held next Thursday

Damascus (ST): With the aim of marketing crafts and manual works for people with disabilities, the “Disability…New start” initiative, in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor and the Human Resources Management Corporation, will organize the Charity Market Exhibition next Thursday.

The exhibition, which is held at the headquarters of the Human Resources Management Corporation in Mazzeh, Damascus, includes handicrafts, accessories, food products, textile industries, children’s dolls, paintings, and cosmetics.

Mona Amqi, the founder of the initiative, explained in a statement to SANA news reporter that the exhibition aims to pay attention to people with disabilities to enable them and integrate them into the labor market, by promoting their products, which is psychologically important to them, and motivates them to develop their capabilities.

Amqi explained that the initiative works to enhance and build the capabilities of persons with disabilities, by holding vocational training courses in cooperation with a number of associations, and highlighitng their skills and abilities.
