Charity bazaar in the hall of Saint Ignatius of Antioch

Damascus (ST): The fourteenth charitable bazaar was inaugurated today in the hall of St. Ignatius of Antioch in the Al-Qasaa neighborhood of Damascus.The bazar will last   for three days.

The patriarchal assistant of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East, Archbishop Musa al-Khassy, indicated in a statement to news reporter that the  Syrians are invited to participate in this bazaar, to offer what they can in a way that enhances social solidarity and solidarity among all the people of Syria.

The patriarchal aide explained that the Syrians are living in difficult conditions as a result of the terrorist war on Syria, stressing that they enjoy a cooperative spirit and a benevolent desire to help each other, to overcome their suffering as a result of the unjust economic sanctions.

For her part, Mrs. Linda Farah, responsible for social work in the Orthodox Sunday Schools that organizes the bazaar, explained that the schools started establishing the bazaar seven years ago, with two bazaars annually, one in the summer and the other in the winter, noting that the proceeds of this bazaar will go to buy food baskets for about 5,000 needy families.
