On the occasion of Teacher’s Day and Mother’s Day, the charity ‘al-Raja’a’ Association for the People with Special Needs (PWSN) opened Monday an exhibition featuring handmade works produced by the students of the association in Damascus.

The exhibition shows the skills of the people with special needs and it might lead to find jobopport unities for them in the future, Minister of Social Affairs Rema Qadri said after the opening ceremony of the exhibition.

She underscored the need to focus on the capabilities of the PWSN to be active in the society.

On his part, Head of the ‘al-Raja’a’ Association Ahmad Yasenal-Sabbagh said that offering support for the PWSN instils confidence in them.

“The association offers a lot of services to the students such as behavior modification, speech-language therapy, psychological and physical treatment plus sport activities and music in order to help them to serve themselves,” he added.

The ‘al-Raja’a’ Association was founded in 1990.
