Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Qatar: Qatar has proven to be a true partner to the Syrian people

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Qatar stated:

● President Al-Sharaa’s visit to Doha is a turning point in the course of Syrian-Qatari relations.

● The visit reflects a mutual commitment to enhancing cooperation in various fields and supporting Syria during the reconstruction phase.

● The meeting between the leaders of the two countries discussed strengthening bilateral relations and coordinating on regional issues.

● Syrian-Qatari relations have been rapidly developing since Emir Tamim’s visit to Damascus in January 2025.

● Qatar has proven to be a true partner to the Syrian people through humanitarian and political support over the past years.

● Qatar’s initiative to send two million cubic meters of gas has directly contributed to supporting the electricity sector in Syria.

● Donations from “the Night of the 27th of Ramadan,” amounting to 220 million Qatari riyals, will be allocated for housing and reconstruction projects in Syria.

● Qatar has contributed to hosting Syrians in the fields of education, health, and development.
