Chants Ring out in Yemen praising Syria’s Pride

SANAA, (ST)-Yemenis staged  a mass rally in  Sanaa on Tuesday to voice  solidarity with Syria and to condemn the Israeli aggression against Syria facilities.

The rally, which was organized by the Popular Committee to Support Syria, was followed by a sit-in in front of the UN Office during which the participants chanted slogans hailing Syria’s steadfastness in the face of the global conspiracy targeting it led by the Zionist-U.S. imperialism.

Participants in the rally issued a statement asserting  that the Israeli aggression positions  in Syria is a violation  of all international conventions and charters and a violation of other countries’ independence  and sovereignty as well.

They called upon all the Arabs to support Syria, denouncing the recruitment of Yemeni young men and sending them to join  the terrorist groups in Syria.

“any other aggression against Syria would make the Gulf, US and western interests in Yemen targets for the Yemeni people as a retaliation, ‘underscored the participants.

The participants sent a letter  to the UN in expressing their astonishment over   the flagrant international contradiction regarding the war on terrorism, saying that it is odd for the UN to condemn the terrorism on the one hand and allow sending terrorists from all over the world to Syria on the other hand.

“the UN has to prevent the Zionist  entity from repeating such acts and supporting  the peaceful solution to the crisis in Syria. The international community  should bear responsible for the humanitarian situation in Syria,”concluded the statement.
