Chanar: President Assad is Guarantee for Syria Security and Stability

ANKARA, (ST)_ Turkey former deputy prime minister Abdul Latif Shanar, member of the Turkish delegation that visited Syria recently, confirmed that President Bashar al-Assad is a guarantee for the security and stability and social order in Syria, pointing out that he noticed during his visit, that state institutions in Syria continue its work as usual, without obstacles.

He told the Mesopotamia news agency yesterday that he “had been confirmed during his recent visit that President Assad step down would lead to the full destruction of Syria, eliminate its security and independence and social order lead to the ruling of different groups which do not have any political program, nor moral values, and have nothing to do with running country.”

The Turkish delegation, which included representatives of Turkish parties and activists and parliamentarians visited Syria earlier this month, under the chairmanship of the Secretary General of the Turkish al-Watan party Dr. Dogu Bernchik.

Bernchik stressed during a press conference in Damascus that the human heart beats in Syria and its peace is the key to world peace, pointing out that the people of Syria, its army and leader President Bashar al-Assad resisted as heroes not only for Syria, but for all mankind against terrorism, its sponsors and supporters.
