Chamber of Industry, Ambassador of Belarus to enhance industrial and economic cooperation

Damascus, (ST) – The meeting of the members of the Board of Directors of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside with the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in Damascus Yuri Sluka and the accompanying delegation who visited the chamber yesterday focused on ways to activate the role of the chamber in promoting industrial and economic cooperation between Syria and Belarus.

The Head of the Damascus Chamber of Industry and its countryside, Muhammad Ghazwan Al-Masri, pointed out the importance of cooperation between the chamber and all its sub-committees with the Belarusian side. He said that the chamber will set priorities during the next stage by communicating with all Syrian chambers of industry to coordinate meetings and visits between the two parties to learn about all available opportunities, so that there is real work on the ground.

For his part, the ambassador pointed out that the doors of cooperation are open to all ideas, proposals and projects during the coming period, especially since Belarus has a lot of raw materials that are components of  many industries, starting with the food industry and ending with heavy machinery. He stressed the activation of the activity of the federations of chambers of commerce and industry Belarusian to consolidate relations between the two sides.

The ambassador was accompanied on his visit to the chamber by the commercial advisor at the embassy, Anatoly Bogringo, and the general representative of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Syria, Riyad Hamad.
