Chairman of the Syrian-Iranian Joint Economic Committee: My visit to Damascus aims to strengthen bilateral economic and investment relations
Damascus (ST): The Chairman of the Joint Economic Committee, Minister of Roads and Cities Construction of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Eslami, stressed that the most important thing that must be implemented as a higher economic committee between Iran and Syria is to work on activating the ventures of the private sector between the two countries smoothly and broadly because it is an important and reliable sector in the various fields of construction, transportation and the financial sector to achieve development and prosperity in these sectors.
In a statement to reporters upon his arrival at Damascus International Airport, Eslami said that the mutual visits help to consolidate and strengthen economic relations between the two countries and activate joint business.
In a similar statement, the Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade, Dr. Mohammad Samer Al-Khalil explained that the visit of the Iranian delegation will include meetings aimed at activating the terms of the agreement signed between the two sides in 2019 and working to put them into practice as soon as possible, in addition to meetings with the private business sector to discuss a group of issues and motivating this sector to play an active role at the commercial, investment, banking, public works and housing fields.
