Celebrating International Women’s Day, Syrian products markets opened at the Hijaz station in Damascus

Damascus (ST): In celebration of International Women’s Day, more than 25 women from all governorates participate in the “Syrian Products” market, which is being held at the Hijaz station in Damascus and will last for four days.

In the ancient Damascene Hall in the Hejaz Building the participating women display their various products, including handicrafts, rural products, food, textiles, perfumes, and other products produced by their small projects, some of which are several years old.

It is noteworthy that many of these women founded and launched their small projects with a very small capital and started with simple products to be able to support and work continuously to develop and improve these projects.

The market is organized by the “Syrian Crafts” company, one of the programs of the Syrian Trust for Development, with the aim of encouraging small business owners among women to continue their work and devote their image in society as women capable of production, creativity and innovation despite all challenges.
