JERUSALEM -Celebrated Palestinian historian, author and journalist Nasser al-Din al-Nashashibi died on Friday at his home in Jerusalem on Friday aged 93,according to agencies.
Al-Nashashibi was born in Jerusalem in 1920. He studied political science in Lebanon, and joined the Arab League’s Arab Office in 1945. He would later be appointed an Ambassador-at-large for the League.
His journalistic career began in 1946, when he started work as a literary commentator and political analyst at Al-Quds radio. He held top editorial posts in Egyptian and Jordanian media, and wrote over 40 books.
As well as a distinguished career in journalism, working in Jordanian and Egyptian media, al-Nashashibi wrote over 40 books.
