For the third day running, the north-west side of country is still witnessing a cautious calm after the ceasefire agreement in the de-escalation zone on Idleb went into effect amid reports about the arrival of Syrian army’s reinforcements to the western countryside of Aleppo .
A field source told the Syrian-based al-Watan newspaper that no violation has been recorded and the Syrian army units in that countryside is observing the situation and the movements of terrorist groups around the clock in order to confront any potential attempt by terrorist groups to infiltrate into military posts.
“Up till the moment of writing the report, the terrorist groups have not evacuated their posts located at the Damascus-Aleppo international road to deliver them to the Syrian army without fighting,” the source asserted, indicating that the Syrian army units will liberate the towns and villages located at the international road by fire if the al-Nusra Front terrorists do not withdraw from them in 8 days from the date of the agreement’s entry into force.
In another development, ANHA reported that the so-called the ‘Forces of Liberating Afrin’ killed yesterday 16 Turkish occupation soldiers in the occupied Afrin , while the opposition confirmed the death of a Turkish-backed gunman in Mrimin in the northern countryside of Aleppo and the detonation on an explosive device at Ezaz road in the north of Aleppo.
