Catalonia intends to hold a new referendum on independence from Spain

Barcelona (ST): The President of Catalonia, Pierre Aragones, announced today that the region is putting pressure on the Spanish government to reach a new agreement on the organization of a binding referendum on independence, and the recognition of the territory by Madrid and the international community.
TASS quoted Aragones as saying: “I am presenting a comprehensive proposal addressed to all democrats, regardless of whether they support Catalan independence or not, a proposal that meets international requirements”.
He considered that the truth is that the vast majority of Catalans today want to decide the future of the country by voting in a referendum.
