Carthage Theater Days in Tunisia kicks off with the presence of the Syrian Ambassador

Tunisia (ST) – The 25th session of the Carthage Theater Days in Tunisia kicked off under the slogan “Theatre is Resistance and Art is Life,” with a ceremony held at the Municipal Theater in the presence of the Syrian Ambassador to Tunisia, Mohammad Mohammad.

This year’s program includes 125 shows from 32 countries, including 12 shows in the official competition.

The opening event was held under the supervision of the Minister of Cultural Affairs, Amina Srarfi, and in the presence of many Arab and international artists, in addition to a number of representatives of diplomatic missions accredited to Tunisia.

At the end, the Chinese theatrical performance “The Return of the Star” was presented at the Opera House in the City of Culture, which was shown for the first time in the presence of Ambassador Mohammed and Minister Srarfi.

It is worth noting that Syria was invited as a guest of honor at this festival, which this year celebrates the Syrian theatrical achievement, and will witness the honoring of prominent Syrian playwrights in appreciation of their artistic career.
