Carrying relief materials for those affected by the earthquake, 4 UAE planes arrive at Damascus and Latakia airports
Damascus, Latakia (ST): Four Emirati planes arrived at the international airports of Damascus and Latakia this morning, loaded with relief aid for those affected by the earthquake that struck Syria on the 6th of February.
The load of the first Emirati plane that arrived at Damascus International Airport amounted to 29 tons and 700 kilograms of foodstuffs, while the load of the second plane was 86 tons and 670 kilograms of relief materials, including foodstuffs and blankets.
At Latakia International Airport, two Emirati planes arrived this morning carrying food and relief aid for the people affected by the earthquake.
In a statement to SANA news reporter, the director of Latakia Airport Ziad al-Taweel, explained that the first plane carried 11 tons on board, and the second carried 25 tons of food and relief supplies, with the aim of supporting the people affected by the earthquake.
