Car blast hits Homs

PROVINCES,(ST)_A citizen was martyred and 24 others were wounded in a car blast explosion in a residential  area in Homs province.

SANA reported that terrorists blew up a car bomb on Thursday dawn in Ekremah alley in Wadi al-Dahab area in Homs causing serious damages at the scene.

The injured people were taken to the hospitals in the city (Homs) to be treated.

The blast took place near Sahara complex and “GhaliaFarhat” school in the alley which also includes popular market.

Meanwhile, armed forces destroyed a terrorist hideout in al-Zafaraneh town in al-Rustan countryside (in Homs) killing several terrorists there. 

In a separate development, armed forces killed a lot of terrorists during scuffles near al-Nairab Airport in Aleppo and destroyed a rocket launcher.

Elsewhere, the armed forces killed tens of terrorists and destroyed their weapons in different areas in Daraa, Damascus countryside and Idleb countryside.

The terrorists were perpetrating criminal acts against citizens, SANA reported.

The armed forces also repelled terrorists’ attempts to detonate explosive devices planted at the entrance of Bosra al-Sham area (in Daraa) and al-Zabadani (on the Lebanese borders).

Later on, it was reported that the armed forces succeeded to restore security to Srehen town (in Hama) after carrying out a qualitative operation during which several terrorists were killed.

An official source told SANA that Engineering units dismantled 26 explosive devices planted by terrorists on the road of the town.  

Some 23 rockets were also dismantled by the unit.
