Canadian Global Research: Israel  wages  a genocidal war against the Palestinians with white phosphorus bombs

“Israel was not satisfied with bombing the Palestinians and their children with lethal bombs, as the genocide it committs in the Gaza Strip goes beyond such weapons for they have used the internationally banned white phosphorus, so that the level of crime Israel  is committing against innocent people has reached the point of annihilating them” according to the Canadian Global Research website.

It indicated in an article by Italian writer and political analyst Manilo DeNucci that Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch have proven with conclusive evidence that Israel used white phosphorus in its bombing of Gaza, which causes severe burns that often reach the bones and has long-term effects on survivors and lead to serious infections.

The Canadian website explained that the death toll  as a result of the Israeli aggression on Gaza exceeded four thousand martyrs, and the number of those injured reached more than 15 thousand, who are at risk of death due  to the lack of medicine and medical equipment because of  the siege imposed on the Gaza Strip, adding 1,300 people, most of them children, are still under the  rubble.

It stressed   that Israel’s use of white phosphorus, despite all these numbers of victims, can only be explained as “a campaign of genocide against the people of Gaza.

Fires caused by white phosphorus can also destroy civilian facilities and property, damage crops, and kill livestock. Moreover, insufficient resources for medical providers exacerbate the difficult process of treating serious burns.

This is not the first time that Israel has used white phosphorus in its attacks on Palestinians. From December 27, 2008 to January 18, 2009, it fired about 200 white phosphorus munitions into populated areas in Gaza.
