Canadian Foreign Minister Francois Philippe Champaign has confirmed his country’s rejection of the plans of the Israeli occupation to annex lands from the occupied West Bank, noting that it is a violation of international law.
WAFA News Agency said that Champaign stressed in a phone call on June 9 with the Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad al-Maliki that his country had informed the Israeli occupation authorities of its rejection of the annexation plans and its support for the establishment of the Palestinian state on the borders of the fourth of June 1967.
For his part, al-Maliki called on Canada to continue working with the international community to prevent the Israeli occupation authorities from implementing the annexation plans.
