Cabinet:Army’s Victories Pave The Way For Restoring Stability, Ensuring Citizens’ Needs

DAMASCUS, (ST) –”the government’s top priority is to boost services nationwide  and to provide the Syrian people with  power plants requirements and oil derivatives ,”said Prime Minister, Dr. Wael al-Halqi.

Al-Halqi’s remark came during the cabinet’s  weekly session held on Tuesday.

He lauded  the Syrian Army ‘s recent victories that definitely will pave the way to  restore stability and security to the majority of the Syrian territories.

“undoubtedly, these victories will enable the government to render  various services to all areas with the aim of  serving citizens and to materialize  the comprehensive development process “underscored al-Halqi.

For his part, Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Walid al-Moallem, briefed his colleagues on  latest political developments on the international arena.

 ” the Syrian people is resolved to materialize the political program to resolve the crisis, “asserted al-Moallem.

Minister of State for National Reconciliation Affairs, Ali Haidar, briefed the Cabinet on the activities of the ministry to enhance the national dialogue process.

The Cabinet tackled other issues such as  approving  the draft of a legislative decree on mutual recognition agreement on medicines and medical equipment registration between Syria and Iran.

The Cabinet also agreed on the Oil Ministry’s request on exempting the crude oil imports of the public sector from taxes until the end of the year.

A similar exemption was granted to the Health Ministry on medical equipment and medicines imparted from Iran.

National Dialogue

“the previous meetings held by the ministerial committee on the political program to resolve the crisis in Syria were very important as regards bridging the gaps among the Syrians, “stressed premier al-Halqi.

Chairing the session of the ministerial committee, al-Halqi hailed the positive and fruitful outcome of the committee’s meetings with all walks of life  of the Syrian society.

“the government reiterates  calling  on all Syrians to be  involved  in the dialogue process so as to reach the national dialogue conference which will be held in Syria without foreign interference, “underlined al-Halqi.

The ministerial committee also debated the political developments concerning the Israeli aggression on the Syrian facilities.
