Cabinet approves bill granting martyrdom document for military personnel who die as a result of injury after ending their services

Damascus – The Cabinet approved on its weekly session chaired by Prime Minister Imad Khamis a bill on granting a martyrdom document for injured military personnel and members of Internal Security Forces who pass away after the end of their services as a result of their injury.

The Cabinet also specified the role of each ministry in the issue related to launching citizen service centers in the rural areas, and charged the Ministry of Communications and Technology with forming a work team for establish a “governmental services bank” in order to develop the electronic payment project as a part of accomplishing the e-government project, SANA reported.

The Ministry of Local Administration and Environment was tasked with forming a work group to review the performance of the local administration councils in the provinces, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform was directed to expand and promote the concept of family farming and to offer the required support to farmers in this context.

 

The Cabinet also discussed the state of Economy and Foreign Trade Ministry and the challenges it faces, calling on the Information Ministry to review the state of media production and programs in public and private media outlets.

The Cabinet decided to revise the purchase prices of tobacco from farmers in order to achieve stability in this agriculture and increase its economic viability, in addition to calling on the Ministries of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection and Justice to evaluate the investments of the private sector in the properties of the General Organization for Storage and Marketing.
