Business activities in Damascus: The economy will reap the fruits of the success of the presidential elections
Commercial and business activities in Damascus are waiting for the date of the presidential elections scheduled for May 26thwith optimism, given that their success will reflect positively on the recovery of the economic situation in Syria.
Mahmoud AbuAl-Ayyal, owner of a clothing store in the Marjeh market in Damascus, said that the success of the presidential elections will contribute in activating the commercial and investment movement.
In turn, Saad Daaboul, a trader in the Marjeh market, considered that the presidential elections will reflect on the reconstruction process and will support the economy.
He added that his participation in the elections is part of his national duty towards his children and their future.
Trader Zaid Mahmoud said that the economy will reap the fruits of the success of the presidential elections, because it will be evidence that Syria is recovering and that its institutions are working.
Merchant Muhammad Ghanem said: “We, as merchants and commercial actors, will participate in the elections and every citizen must express his opinion and elect the person who is able to lead Syria in the next stage.”
Merchant Muhammad Qabalan indicated that the commercial representatives will support the presidential elections and work to ensure their success.
