ALEPPO, (ST)- A Building was collapsed on Saturday in Aleppo neighborhood of Salahuddin claiming the lives of eleven people including four children. A citizen was pulled alive from the rubble and took to the hospital for treatment from injuries.
Major General, Issam al-Shalli, Aleppo Police Chief Commander, told SANA reporter in Aleppo that the five-story building is located in an area damaged by terrorism.
He made it clear that rescue teams, firefighters and ambulances headed immediately to the site in order to remove the rubble and pull out the victims.
The neighboring two buildings were evacuated by concerned parties in Aleppo governorate and the Public Safty Committee as to avoid any victims if the buildings collapse, according to Eng. Kumait Assi al-Sheikh, an official at Aleppo governorate council.
