Brunei condemns Israeli occupation aggression on Iran

Dar el Salaam, (ST) – The Kingdom of Brunei condemned the Israeli aggression on Iran stressing  that it constitutes a serious violation of international laws and the UN Charter, including respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of any state.

IRNA quoted the Kingdom as saying in a statement:” Based on the inherent right of self-defense as stated

in Article 51 of the UN Charter, defense against foreign aggression is the right of sovereign states.”

Brunei also expressed its deep concern over the brutal Israeli attacks on Gaza Strip and Lebanon, and called on the UN Security Council to assume its legal and moral responsibilities, especially preventing the killing of innocent civilians and the use of forced starvation of the Palestinian people, all of which fall within the framework of the genocide of the Palestinians by the Israeli occupation entity.
