Bronze medal for Syria in the World Robot Olympiad

Damascus (ST): The Syrian participation in the World Robot Olympiad WRO 2021 resulted in the  winning of a bronze medal by the National Center for Excellence in the Future Engineers competition, as part of the global competitions held remotely under the title The Future of Energy from November 18 to 21, with the participation of 217 teams representing 65 member states  in the World Robot Olympiad.

The Excellence and Creativity Authority stated, that the “Saturn-NCD” team from the National Center for the Distinguished succeeded in winning the bronze medal in the Future Engineers competition. The team included Ibrahim Mualla, Raneem Hassan, Jaafar Mayya and coach Ali Junaidi.

The “SCS EcoDynamo” team from the Syrian Scientific Informatics Society also won the sixth place in the regular competition, the upper category. The team included Walid Shaibani, Sami Maarouf, Karim Al-Madhi and coach Adnan Salahi Al-Asbahi.
