Bronze medal and four certificates of appreciation for Syria in the International Mathematics Olympiad
Students at the Syrian Scientific Olympiad in Mathematics won a bronze medal and four certificates of appreciation at the International Mathematics Olympiad organized by Britain during the period between 11 and 22 July of this month.
In a statement reported by SANA, Distinction and Creativity Agency stated that the student Mahmoud Muhammad Asad from Aleppo Governorate won a bronze medal, while certificates of appreciation were obtained by students Shafiq Bara and Muhammad Muzahim from Damascus, and Muhammad Osta and Al-Layth Shahat from Aleppo.
The authority indicated that the Syrian team was accompanied and supervised by Dr. Imran Quba, Dr. Khaled Halawa, and Dr. Muhammad Firas Al-Halabi.
It is noteworthy that this is the sixteenth Syrian participation in this Olympiad, during which the students of the Syrian Scientific Olympiad won 5 silver medals, 14 bronze medals, and 43 certificates of appreciation.
