Bronze for Syria in the Asian Judo Championships

Beirut (ST): Syrian judo player Laila Kanaan won the bronze medal in the under 48 kg weight category in the Asian Championships for junior, youth and girls, currently being held in the Lebanese capital, Beirut, with the participation of 17 countries.

Kanaan won the bronze medal after winning the first match against a player from Kazakhstan, losing in the second with a player from Uzbekistan, winning the third against a player from Nepal, and winning the fourth against a player from Kazakhstan with full points, and she was crowned with the bronze. 

It is noteworthy that the weights approved in the category under 21 years old are 7 weights for males and the same for females, while in the category under 18 years old, the competitions will include 8 weights for males and 8 weights for females.
