British MPs are calling for pressure on the occupation authorities to prevent the displacement of Palestinians from occupied Al-Quds( Jerusalem)

London ,(ST)- 81 British deputies called on British Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab to put pressure on the Israeli occupation authorities to prevent the displacement of Palestinian families from their homes in occupied Al-Quds  (Jerusalem).

Wafa News Agency reported that over 80 British parliamentarians representing all parties, in both the House of Commons and the House of Lords, wrote in a letter to the British Foreign Secretary, Dominic Raab, that the British government must do everything in its power to prevent the mass and forced evictions and dispossession of Palestinian families in Al-Quds (Jerusalem).

The agency pointed out that among the signatories to the letter were five deputies from the Conservative Party.

At the end of last year, the occupation authorities announced plans to seize dozens of homes in the neighborhoods of Sheikh Jarrah, Batn Al-Hawa and Wadi Al-Joz in occupied al-Quds (Jerusalem), to expand settlement operations, which threatens to displace hundreds of Palestinians and encircle the Old City and Al-Aqsa Mosque on the southern side with settlements.

The Palestinian Foreign Ministry affirmed that, the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court was provided with information documenting the violations that Palestinian families face in Al-Quds (Jerusalem), and the Israeli occupation continues its systematic colonial practices targeting the Holy City (Al-Quds)  with the aim of changing its character, legal status and demographic composition, stressing that it has continued to work with states and international organizations to ensure that the Israeli occupation is held accountable about his continued crimes against the Palestinians.
