British Foreign Office: Updating sanctions regulations on Syria helps the Syrians rebuild their country

British Foreign Office said via (x):

– Updating British sanctions regulations on Syria will help the Syrian people rebuild their country and economy.

– Updating British sanctions regulations will allow Assad and his partners to be held accountable for human rights violations.

– Ensuring long-term stability in Syria is essential for regional security and the security of the United Kingdom.

In the same context, the British Minister for the Middle East Hamish Falconer said “Syria’s stability is in our interest, and its people deserve the opportunity to rebuild their country and economy”.

“We are pleased to lift our sanctions on 12 Syrian entities to support them in rebuilding their economy,” he added
