Britain rejects a petition to suspend arms exports to the occupying entity

London, (ST) – Britain has rejected a petition to suspend the export of British weapons to the occupying entity, despite repeated calls by several human rights organizations to stop these exports.  The new decision, which was made by the Supreme Court in London yesterday,  confirms Britain’s complete complicity with “Israel’s” crimes.

The court, according to what the British newspaper “The Guardian” reported, rejected a petition submitted by human rights groups regarding the suspension of arms exports to the Israeli occupation entity in the light of the genocidal crimes it has committed in Gaza since last October.

In this case. Britain, once again, demonstrated its insistence on supporting Israeli brutality and following in the footsteps of its partner, the United States in complicity with the crimes of genocide against the Palestinians.

The plaintiff before the court, which includes human rights organizations, confirmed in its petition that the British government ignores its own standards, which stipulate that it is not permissible to export weapons if there is a possibility that they could be used in violations of international humanitarian law. However, when it comes to “Israel,” Britain is fully prepared to ignore not only international laws, but also the internal laws they have established.

The Guardian newspaper reported earlier that 30 human rights organizations in Britain sent a letter to the Foreign Secretary David Cameron asking him to suspend the supply of weapons to “Israel” and to adhere to what the International Court of Justice ruled regarding taking all measures to prevent acts prohibited under the Genocide Convention, and to ensure the immediate provision of urgent humanitarian needs of Gaza Strip.

Along with all kinds of weapons, ships and planes that London had sent to support “Israel” in its aggression against Gaza, the British government also continued over the past months to issue permits to sell weapons to the occupying entity despite the crimes of genocide it is committing.
