Britain confirms the speed of the new mutation of the Coronavirus, and Dutch suspensions of all flights from the United Kingdom

On December 19th, Britain’s chief doctor, Chris Whitty, announced that the new surge of the emerging coronavirus that was detected in his country is spreading very quickly.

“The British medical authorities have alerted the World Health Organization to the rapid spread of the boom in southeast England, and that it continues to analyze the received data to improve its understanding of the reality,” British media quoted Witty as saying.

 

He pointed out that at the present time there are no indications that the new mutation is more deadly than its predecessors, or that it is able to resist anti-Corona vaccines.

On December 14th, British Health Minister Matt Hancock reported the discovery of a new mutation of the emerging coronavirus, which is spreading at a rapid pace in southeast England, including London.

In turn, the Austrian government announced the third general closure in the country, from the 26th of this month until the 17th of next January, in order to control rapid infections and high deaths from the Coronavirus.

Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz said that almost everything will be closed in the mentioned period and there are strict exit restrictions aimed at reducing the number of new infections that are still high and the deaths that have doubled recently.

On December 20, the Dutch government announced the suspension of all flights from the United Kingdom until the first of next month, after discovering the presence of a new strain of Coronavirus on the territory of the United Kingdom.

 According to Agence France-Presse, the Dutch Ministry of Health said in a statement: “An infectious strain of Covid 19 virus is spreading in the United Kingdom and is believed to spread more easily, faster and is more difficult to detect.
