Brazilian economic delegation visit Syrian pavilion in the Expo 2020 Dubai

DUBAI, Feb.16, (ST)-Brazilian economic delegation representing Consultation Council in the Special Commission of Supporting Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in São Paulo city visited yesterday the Syrian pavilion in the Expo 2020 Dubai.   

The delegation toured the pavilion and they were briefed on its diverse exhibits that include a replica of the Ugarit alphabet and an audio-visual presentation of a hymn called “A Hymn to Nikkal” from the 12th century BCE Ugarit in Syria which is currently the oldest piece of annotated music known to history.

They expressed their interest in the collective exhibition held under the slogan :”I am Syrian”.

The Syrian pavilion was also visited by several delegations as well as by representatives of the countries and organizations participating in the expo and by many visitors.  

On the 15th of November, the Expo 2020 Dubai has celebrated the National Day of Syria, among the national days of the participating countries. The Syrian pavilion witnessed a remarkable turnout from various nationalities, as many cultural and artistic activities were held that embody the Syrian civilization and its ancient history.

On the 1st of October, the “Expo 2020 Dubai” exhibition, which is hosted by the United Arab Emirates, with the participation of 192 countries, including Syria, opened in the UAE city of Dubai yesterday after it was postponed for a whole year due to the “Covid 19” pandemic, and it will start receiving visitors today.
