Brazil rejects G7 plans to place limits on the purchase price of Russian oil

Brasilia (ST): Brazil announced its refusal to support the G7 countries’ plans to impose restrictions on the purchase price of Russian oil.

In response to a question by (Novosti) agency in this regard, the Brazilian Foreign Ministry said: “Brazil is not part of the Group of Seven and it is not subject to its decisions.”

The leaders of the countries of the group, which includes (the United States, Britain, Germany, Italy, Canada, France and Japan), announced at their summit on the 26th and 28th of last June their intention to (reduce dependence on energy from Russia) and agreed in principle to start reducing Russian oil and gas prices.
